Early (50-60 days) open pollinated variety released by George Wheeler of Warminster in Wiltshire over 100 years ago. Firm, well-flavored, pointed, tender hearts for a spring harvest. Grows to a height of around 30cm (12in) and a spread of 40cm (16in). Sown in July to early September it can be cropped as spring greens from February and as hearted cabbage in spring. Also suitable for spring sowing for autumn harvesting. Sown in March to May it will be ready to harvest in autumn.
